Our Micio is a 2yr old Ragdoll. We chose the ragdoll breed for all of its endearing qualities. They are the largest of the domesticated cat breeds and they also have to be the friendliest :)
I tell my friends that ragdoll's are all that's good from cats and dogs rolled into one package. They're loyal like a dog, meeting you at the door and following you from room to room, and they come house broken and hygienic like a cat :)
If you’re looking for a cat and want one that will love you like a dog get a ragdoll…

Byco - under glass
Byco and Micio both loved to crawl under the coffee table :) Micio actually used to crawl under the couch as well, thankfully, Byco never figured out that he fit under there.
You can see Micio in the top of the picture remembering how fun it was when he fit under there :)

long day
Little Byco had a tough time on his first day in him new home. Micio was king of the house and didn't much care for the new prince. Byco cried a lot and I had to sleep downstairs with him while my wife slept with Micio upstairs :)

happy new year from micio
Why do we think it's cute to put hats on our cats :) They sure don't seem to like it all that much...

Baby Byco Sleeping
Both Micio and Byco have their little spots on the couch for sleeping. Byco started sleeping here before he fit :) Micio sleeps next to the art to the left, but you can't see him :)
Boxes
Micio really loves his boxes :) Here he is as a kitten and as an eight month old. He even squeezes into them when he obviously won't fit!

Byco, Up Close
We came home from running errands yesterday and little byco met us at the door with a nasty red eye. The poor guy was obviously agitated... We looked around in there and couldn't find anything.
Immediately, every time something happens to one of our cats, my wife and I go through the 'Should we take him to the vet debate' (and for some reason this always happens on a weekend or in the late evening). So we start looking on the internet for possible culprits... We decide it probably isn't an infection or we would have noticed it getting worse (we pay very close attention to our cats :)). So it is most likely something in there that needs to be flushed out. Out to PetsMart I go to buy cat eye wash :)
Every time we try to play vet we seem to make it worse. He clearly didn't like the eye wash and it made his eye even redder. So we decided to let him sleep and look at it this morning. Luckily it seems to be much better. Man, so much worry for such a little animal :)

Byco: Undercover
Unlike me, byco LOVES it when it's time to wash the sheets. We take off the pillows and comforter and throw it in a pile which he immediately goes to work hiding under. He loves to leap out at Micio as he passes by. Then they'll take turns diving in and out at each other until it's time to put the fresh sheets back on the bed :(

My big brother
Micio (the big cat) actually shares a father with byco (the small cat). They're both ragdolls from Gary Strobel's Ragmeister Ragdolls. My wife and I both consider Gary to be one of the best breeders of ragdolls. He clearly puts a lot of care into each little kitten and is happy to show you around his house where he lets all the cats run free :)
More on how much we love our two cats and why we chose the Ragdoll breed in later posts.

Mafia Cats
Micio and Byco didn't always like each other. When we brought Byco home 5 months ago Micio was very distraught. We bought Byco to keep our needy little Mico company while I went off to School at Anderson. Fast forward 4 months and I snapped this photo of them being very 'tolerant' of each other :)
